Goodreads summary:
Ruby never asked for the abilities that almost cost her her life. Now she must call upon them on a daily basis, leading dangerous missions to bring down a corrupt government and breaking into the minds of her enemies. Other kids in the Children’s League call Ruby “Leader”, but she knows what she really is: a monster.

When Ruby is entrusted with an explosive secret, she must embark on her most dangerous mission yet: leaving the Children’s League behind. Crucial information about the disease that killed most of America’s children—and turned Ruby and the others who lived into feared and hated outcasts—has survived every attempt to destroy it. But the truth is only saved in one place: a flashdrive in the hands of Liam Stewart, the boy Ruby once believed was her future—and who now wouldn’t recognize her.

As Ruby sets out across a desperate, lawless country to find Liam—and answers about the catastrophe that has ripped both her life and America apart—she is torn between old friends and the promise she made to serve the League. Ruby will do anything to protect the people she loves. But what if winning the war means losing herself?

Review:
Sometimes you're the one speeding along in a panic, doing too much, not paying attention, wrecking things you don't mean to. And sometimes life just happens to you, and you can't dodge it. It crashes into you because it wants to see what you're made of.”

Never faded was at first a little bit dissapionting. The story took long to really get going, it was dull at first and it dragged own for a at least 100 pages. But from that point forward the story finally took off.

I liked Ruby in this story, although i didn't always agree with her thoughts and i could scream at her she still was the person i liked to much in the first book .The was more on her own, didn't want help from others and she was a leader in stead of a follower. As for some new characters i didn't like so much.. oooh how annoyed was i when they found the "Slipt Kid' who turnt out the be a little annoying son of a bitch.. He wasn't Clancy, who for that part i much rather have that than annoying Blue pretender. Also Jude and Vida weren't my favorits yet at the beginning of the book, but thet grew on me. As for Cole, well he was really something.. he was just a breath of fresh air. I liked how sassy and hilarious, he just had the best come backs and made me smile when reading them.  I loved when old characters came back to play like Chuck and Liam. Unfortunately we didnt get to see Zu, but i hope we will know were she is in the last book. I liked the whole war theme it took later on in the book and the plot twitst that happend although i broke my heart a little bit.

As for the plot, at first it didn't do much for me.. I didnt like that Ruby was with the League and i also didn't like the new characters that it brought with it. Like Alban, Rob, Nico, and Cate was just there.. The were dull and annoying, and you could smell that something fishy was going on over there. It didn't come as a suprise that the League wasn't that happy about the 'special kids', but still they were the ones that rescued them so it was a little suprising when i found out that there were a few people in the League that we dead set on wiping them out. But one thing that the League was good for was that Ruby learnt alot about her abilities, she was so kickass when she used them, espescially later on in the book! As for some character developmend there are quite the twists in the story, some i really didn't see coming at all. But it made me so excited for the next book, i need more!
